| 1. |
Narrated by the humble servant of One Islam, whose name means al-Haqq from Allah’s Apostle in vision, saying: “All that a pure believer needs is within the True and Holy Qur’an. This is the first. Honor the sacred deed (constitution) of One Islam second. Respect these authentic Hadith of Allah's Apostle and no other is the third. Finally, honor all other sacred scripture that respects Allah as one who loves all life, peace and wisdom. Never raise false sayings and false scripture above these four things.” |

When asked, "What is Islam?" Allah’s apostle said, "Abstinence and Obedience to God." Asked "What is one of the most excellent virtues of Iman (Faith)?" He said, "An amiable disposition." "Which is the most excellent Hijrah (Renunciation)?" He said, "Abandoning that of which God disapproves."

The Prophet said, “Every child is born with a disposition towards goodness and the natural religion (Islam). It is only society that teaches them to follow a dark path.”

The Prophet said, ”To follow the true path of Islam is the simplest of all to describe: To live a life of self-respect and virtue, to treat others as you expect yourself to be treated and to love this world and seek to make it a better place. Any person that does this first, truly loves Allah and has no need of complications. Any person who does not do these things first, does not truly follow Allah’s commands and the path of Islam.”

The Prophet said, ”Any preacher or scholar that tells you Islam is first an oath to Allah and secondly to devote yourself to holy scripture, expel them immediately as an imposter against the truth of Islam. Even a monkey can imitate a pious man. Instead, Islam is first a devotion to self knowledge and self restraint- to honor God through your good works and virtuous life. Leave the oaths to liars and market stalls.”

The Prophet said, “The greatest enemies of Allah are those who are entered into Islam, who believe false scripture, and who then do evil upon other human beings.”

"What is Islam?" someone asked. The Prophet said, "Purity of speech and charity."
|
|

The Prophet said, “Do you know what saps the foundations of Islam and ruins it? It is the errors of the ignorant scholar, the disputations of the hypocrite and the orders of kings who have lost the road.”
