Education  
     
1. Narrated by the humble servant of One Islam, whose name means al-Haqq from Allah’s Apostle in vision, saying: “All that a pure believer needs is within the True and Holy Qur’an. This is the first. Honor the sacred deed (constitution) of One Islam second. Respect these authentic Hadith of Allah's Apostle and no other is the third. Finally, honor all other sacred scripture that respects Allah as one who loves all life, peace and wisdom. Never raise false sayings and false scripture above these four things.”  
2. The Prophet said, “He dies not who gives life to learning.”
 
3. The Prophet said, “Whoso honors the learned, honors Allah.”
 
4. Allah’s apostle was once asked, "What is the greatest vice of man?" The Prophet said, "You must not ask me about vice, but ask about virtue;" and he repeated this three times, after which he said, "Let it be known to all! The worst of men is a deliberately ignorant man, and a well educated man is the best."
 
5. The Prophet said, “An hour's contemplation is better than a year's adoration.”
 
6. The Prophet said, “It is a most wicked crime against Allah and Islam to deny education to women and children.”  
7. The Prophet said, “Do not mistake the pettiness of Greek Philosophy that seeks to argue against the tides and prove nothing is true. This is the quicksand of feeble minds.”
 
8. The Prophet said, “Go in quest of knowledge even into strange places.”
 
9. The Prophet said, “Seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave.”
 
10. The Prophet said, “Do you know what corrupts the foundation of Islam, and ruins it? The errors of the learned destroy it, the disputations of the hypocrite, and the orders of kings who have lost the road.”
 
11. The Prophet said, “To spend more time in learning is better than spending more time praying; the support of religion is abstinence. It is better to teach knowledge one hour in the night than to pray all night.”
 
12. The Prophet said, “Whoever seeks knowledge and finds it, will get two rewards; one of them the reward for desiring it, and the other for attaining it; therefore, even if he do not attain it, for him is one reward.”
 
13. The Prophet said, “One learned man is harder on the devil than a thousand ignorant worshippers.”
 
14. The Prophet said, “The pursuit of knowledge is a divine commandment for every Muslim; and to waste knowledge on those who are unworthy of it is like putting pearls, jewels, and gold on the necks of swine.”
 
15. The Prophet said, “ That person who shall pursue the path of knowledge, Allah will direct him to the path of Paradise; and verily the superiority of a learned man over an ignorant worshipper is like that of the full moon over all the stars.”
 
16. The Prophet said, “A tyrant and imposter against Islam is one who denies proper education to their people. It is commanded to all Muslims to rebel against such evil.”  
17. The Prophet said, “He who knows his own self, knows Allah.”
 
18. The Prophet said, “ Verily the best of Allah's servants are just and learned laborers; and verily the worst are bad and ignorant kings.”
 
19. The Prophet said, “To listen to the words of the learned, and to instill into others the lessons of science, is better than religious exercises.”
 
20. The Prophet said, “The ink of the scholar is more holy than the blood of the martyr.”
 
21. The Prophet said, “He who leaves home in search of knowledge, walks in the path of Allah.”
 
22. The Prophet said, “One hour's meditation on the work of the Creator is better than seventy years of prayer.”
 
23. The Prophet said, “The acquisition of knowledge is a duty incumbent one every Muslim, male and female.”
 
24. The Prophet said, “Acquire knowledge. It enables its possessor to distinguish right from wrong; it lights the way to Heaven; it is our friend in the desert, our society in solitude, our companion when friendless; it guides us to happiness; it sustains us in misery; it is an ornament among friends, and an armour against enemies.”
 
25. The Prophet said, “With knowledge man rises to the heights of goodness and to a noble position, associates with sovereigns in this world, and attains to the perfection of happiness in the next.”
 
26. The Prophet said, “Learn to know thyself.”
 
27. The Prophet said, “The calamity of knowledge is forgetfulness; and to waste knowledge is to speak of it to the unworthy.”
 
28. The Prophet said, “Who are the learned? They who practice what they know.”
 
29. The Prophet said, “Education makes a city easy to govern but impossible to enslave.”  
29. The Prophet said, “Expel any preacher or scribe. Cast them out as imposters who would deny the importance of knowledge and sensible reason for all Muslims. This is an obligation to all members of a mosque.”
