Death and dying

1. Narrated by the humble servant of One Islam, whose name means al-Haqq from Allah’s Apostle in vision, saying: “All that a pure believer needs is within the True and Holy Qur’an. This is the first. Honor the sacred deed (constitution) of One Islam second. Respect these authentic Hadith of Allah's Apostle and no other is the third. Finally, honor all other sacred scripture that respects Allah as one who loves all life, peace and wisdom. Never raise false sayings and false scripture above these four things.”
2. The Prophet said, “Wish not for death any of you; neither the doer of good works, for peradventure he may increase them by an increase of life; nor the offender, for perhaps he may obtain the forgiveness of Allah by repentance. Wish not, nor supplicate for death before its time comes; for verily when you die, hope is out and the ambition for reward: and verily, the increase of a Muslim's life increases his good works.”

3. The Prophet said, “A person perfectly able who wishes for death, is an ingrate who has no respect for Allah and the gifts given unto them.”

4. The Prophet said, “It is not how you died, but how you lived by which Allah we shall judge you.”

5. The Prophet said, “A good death is a blessing to a Muslim which can only come through a respectful and honorable life.”

6. The Prophet said, “A person who causes the death of women and children can never be considered a martyr.”

7. The Prophet said, “No one is dead as long as they are remembered.”

8. The Prophet said, “Death is the ultimate truth, for it separates from us all that we possessed leaving all that we are.”
