Compassion |

| 1. |
Narrated by the humble servant of One Islam, whose name means al-Haqq from Allah’s Apostle in vision, saying: “All that a pure believer needs is within the True and Holy Qur’an. This is the first. Honor the sacred deed (constitution) of One Islam second. Respect these authentic Hadith of Allah's Apostle and no other is the third. Finally, honor all other sacred scripture that respects Allah as one who loves all life, peace and wisdom. Never raise false sayings and false scripture above these four things.” |

When a child was brought to Allah’s apostle, dying; its body trembling and moving; the eyes of Allah’s apostle shed many tears. A man said, "O Messenger, What is the weeping and shedding of tears?" The Prophet replied, "Allah places tenderness and compassion into the hearts of all His true servants; a person who bears witness to the dying of an innocent and feels no compassion is not a true follower of Allah.”

The Prophet said, “Any person who feels not compassion and empathy towards his fellow man is neither of the heart nor mind of Islam.”

When Allah’s apostle wept over the death of a follower, he said, “True compassion which honors the dead and the will of Allah embraces tears and grief. But do not adopt the practices of false mourning, that cry like wild beasts, who slap their chests and tear their clothes. There is no respect in such spectacles.”

The Prophet said, “There is no reward but Paradise for a Muslim who suffers with patience when the soul of his affectionate friend is taken.”

When one of the family of Muhammad died, and the women assembled, crying over the corpse, Omar stood up to prevent them from crying, and sought drive them away: but Allah’s apostle stopped him and said, "Let them alone, O Omar, because eyes are in true grief; and their hearts are stricken with calamity and sorrow; and the time of misfortune near and fresh; and the crying of women is without false mourning.”

The Prophet said, “To successfully heal and forgive all wounds you must learn to cry, to laugh, and to pray. Allah bestows the power of healing to each of these in proper order.”
