88. "The Overwhelming Calamity" |
|
1. |
Has there come unto you the news of the coming overwhelming calamity? |
|
2. |
On that day many faces will be downcast, |
|
3. |
Toiling, weary and scorched by fire, | |
4. |
Flooded and drowned from boiling seas , | |
5. |
No food nor nourishment to release them from hunger , | |
6. |
They will curse the name of God | |
7. |
And still plead for mercy upon their willing ignorance . |
|
8. |
In those End of Days other faces will be calm, |
|
9. |
Understanding in the cause of all signs, | |
10. |
Is the work of great seasons and cycle, | |
11. |
For Allah's kindness towards all things | |
12. |
is greater than a mother's love towards her children, | |
13. |
That to live in ignorance and hatred | |
14. |
Is to choose to exile themselves from Allah | |
15. |
But to respect wisdom and all living things | |
16. |
Is to live bathed in the love of the Lord's blessings | |
17. |
They will not question the calamity or why it is created. |

18. |
And the heavens, why they are raised? |
|
19. |
And the hills, how they roar? |
|
20. |
And the earth, how it is has changed? | |
21. |
Remind them, for you are but a messenger of future visions, |
|
22. |
You are not at all a judge over them. |
|
23. |
Nor does Allah hate those whoso are averse and disbelieve, |
|
24. |
For Allah is the creator of all things. |
|
25. |
Behold! Given Unto Us is the return of the Earth to be as Heaven | |
26. |
And Ours the choice. | |
