84. "The Rending" |
|
1. |
When the world is in turmoil, | |
2. |
And calls out to the Lord for help, | |
3. |
And when civilization lays is in ruins, |
|
4. |
And its citizens are refugees and her cities empty, |
|
5. |
And they call out to the Lord in anguish! |
|
6. |
Then, verily, O humanity, Allah shall not abandon even one of you nor condemn you from his love. |
|
7. |
Then whoso have self knowledge and respect others as they themselves are respected, |
|
8. |
They truly shall be appointed by Allah to lead humanity out of the darkness, |
|
9. |
And will return the Earth to a place of Living Heaven in joy. |
|
10. |
But whoso are given to false scripture of worshipping hatred and deliberate ignorance against the will of the Lord, |
|
11. |
They surely shall lose all power to deceive, to murder and blaspheme |
|
12. |
And be in great anguish in the afterlife. |
|
13. |
For while they were alive, they spread lies concerning the message of the Lord, |
|
14. |
They verily deemed that they would never return unto Allah. |
|
15. |
No, but Behold! the Lord is ever looking on each and every one of them! |
|
16. |
Oh, I swear by the afterglow of sunset, |
|
17. |
And by the night and all that it enshrouds, |
|
18. |
And by the moon when she is at the full, |
|
19. |
That all of you shall journey on in the afterlife from state of being to state of being. |
|
20. |
What disturbs then the evil descendents of the Sadducees, is that they do not believe this. |
|
21. |
And, when the Qur'an is recited unto them, they do not respect it. |
|
22. |
Rather, they preach for all men to fear Allah to be ignorant of the truth and to do harm; |
|
23. |
And Allah knows best what they are hiding. |
|
24. |
So give them tidings of compassion for their future afterlife of anguish, |
|
25. |
Except those who believe and do good works, for theirs is a reward unfailing. |
