75. "The Resurrection" |
| |
1. |
No, I swear by the Day of Resurrection;
2. |
No, I swear by the accusing soul that this Scripture is true.
3. |
Does humanity think that The Lord will not assemble us to our former glory?
4. |
Yea, verily. He is able to restore the smallest details of our selves!
5. |
Yet a man or woman would pretend to deny what is before them.
6. |
They ask: When will be this Day of Resurrection?
7. |
But when sight is confounded |
8. |
And the moon is eclipsed |
9. |
And sun and moon are united,
10. |
On that day humanity will cry: Where can we escape!
11. |
Alas! There shall be no refuge!
12. |
Unto thy Lord is the only protection that day.
13. |
On that day every man and woman shall be told the tale of that which they have done in their lives and what which they have failed to do.
14. |
Oh, but humanity is a telling witness against itself,
15. |
Although we may wish to give our excuses.
16. |
Hold your tongue and do not rush to such action.
17. |
Behold! Upon the Lord rests the responsibility for our architecture and the reading of our actions in life.
18. |
And when The Lord read us, the reading shall be clear to you;
19. |
Behold! As The Lord has explained to you.
20. |
Alas, you may love what is fleeting when you are alive now.
21. |
And neglect any preparation for the Hereafter.
22. |
Yet on that day, some faces will be resplendent,
23. |
Looking toward their Lord; |
24. |
And on that day other faces will be despondent,
25. |
You will know that some great disaster is about to fall on them.
26. |
For when a persons life is about to end.
27. |
And men and woman say: Where are the miracle workers who can save us now?
28. |
And they know that it is the end of their lives;
29. |
And they fear impending agony in the afterlife;
30. |
Then on that day their desperate goal shall be to seek out The Lord.
31. |
For those in life that neither trusted the Lord, nor prayed.
32. |
But those in life that denied the truth of these words and flouted their independence.
33. |
Then went to their friends and family and boasted of their acts.
34. |
Nearer unto you and nearer, |
35. |
Again nearer unto you and nearer is the doom.
36. |
Does humanity think that it was left to be aimless?
37. |
Was mankind not a drop of cellular material which the Lord streamed forth?
38. |
Then we became a conception; that Allah then shaped and fashioned
39. |
And made of us a pair, the male and female.
40. |
Is not He who does these things also able to bring the dead to life ?
