Article 55 - The Imam Mahdi |

| 55.1 |
Executive Government |
|
| |
The executive and earthly Power of Islam shall be vested in an executive government comprising an Imam Mahdi, and the Supreme Board of Directors (the Blessed).
|
|
| 55.2 |
The Imam Mahdi |
|
| |
The Imam Mahdi is the supreme earthly leader of Islam, its head of state and prime representative to the world. The office of the Imam Mahdi is the highest elected office of Islam and at all times should be considered with the greatest dignity and respect.

| 55.3 |
Supreme Executive Authority and Power of Imam Mahdi |
|
| |
By the power and authority of Article 132 of the Holy Constitution of One Heaven, the organisation of One-Islam is granted by Supreme Deed the right to represent the interests of One-Heaven on Earth. |
|
| |
By the power and authority of Article 136 of the Holy Constitution of One Heaven, the Supreme Executive Authority and Power as Head of State of One-Islam is granted by Supreme Deed to the Office of Imam mahdi. |
|
| |
By virtue of this Constitution and covenant, the Imam Mahdi is vested with the executive authority to manage the needs and affairs of Islam through the selection or dismissal of wise counsel in the form of their Supreme Board of Directors, the agencies, officials and administration of the Government.
|
|
| |
The Imam Mahdi shall have the authority of official spokesman for the word of Allah during their time of office and all faithful must obey his command.
|
|
| |
In times of declare national disaster or international request, the Imam Mahdi shall have the power to commit the forces of Islam on the agreed counsel of the Supreme Disaster Relief Council for international requests.
|
|
| |
The Imam Mahdi shall have the authority over all agencies and Supreme Directors as Chairman of the Supreme Board of Directors. As Chairman, the Imam Mahdi may choose to overrule motions of the Board and select the agenda and minutes of the Board meetings.
|
|
| |
The Imam Mahdi shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Supreme Council, to make Treaties; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Supreme Council, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges, and all other Officers of Islam, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Supreme Council may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the Imam Mahdi alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments.

The Imam Mahdi shall have the Power by virtue of this Constitution to pardon any convicted criminal and stay the sentence of any court imposed sentence for any lesser court than the Supreme Court of Islam. The Imam Mahdi does not have the power to amend a judgment of the Supreme Court of Islam.

| 55.4 |
Supreme Ceremonial and Spiritual Power of Imam Mahdi |
|
| |
By the authority of this Constitution, by its blessed conjoining with Article 136 of the Holy Constitution of One Heaven and by the power and authority given under Clause 136.3 through the ceremony of Supreme Instantiation of the Powers and Authority of Imam Mahdi, the Imam Mahdi shall have the following real ceremonial and spiritual authorities: |

(i) The Imam Mahdi shall themselves become the Most Sacred and Holy Living Instrument of Power, a Holy Person of high spiritual importance, a living embodiment of the new Covenant between Heaven and Earth; and |
|
| |
(ii) When a Imam Mahdi speaks in regards to the holy scripture of One Islam, it shall be recognized as having authority across all levels and branches of the One Islam; |
|
| |
(iii) The Imam Mahdi shall have the spiritual authority to perform the sacred ceremony of Supreme Blessing of the Earth; and |
|
| |
(iv) The Imam Mahdi shall have the spiritual and legal authority to Seal a Deed of Supreme National Sovereignty granted to any Nation that joins as a State Member of One Islam; and |
|
| |
(v) A Imam Mahdi shall have the spiritual and legal authority to perform the official ceremony of Supreme Blessing of the Executive upon the appointment of a new Head of State of a Nation; and |
|
| |
(vi) The Imam Mahdi shall have the spiritual authority to perform supreme cleansings, so that what he decrees on Earth shall be bound in heaven and the spirit world of all spiritual energy that has ever existed for the Earth; and |
|
| |
(vii) The Imam Mahdi shall have the spiritual authority to perform exorcisms, so that what he decrees authority over disruptive spirits they shall be bound in heaven and the spirit world commanding all of all the spiritual energy that has ever existed for the Earth; and |
|
| |
(viii) The Imam Mahdi shall have the spiritual authority to perform bindings so that what is decreed as bound on Earth in regards to justice and equity shall be bound in heaven and the spirit world by the power of all the spiritual energy that has ever existed for the Earth; and |
|
| |
(ix) The Imam Mahdi shall have the spiritual authority to perform the official ceremony of Supreme Instantiation of the Powers and Authority of Supreme Credit and to Seal its Deed of Title for the creation of Supreme Credits subject to the Articles and limits of their manufacture under a Supreme Deed of Credits. |

| 55.5 |
The Imam Mahdi as an living instrument of power |
|
| |
By the very definition of the role, the Imam Mahdi is the purest form of teacher and guide. It is for the value of the message and the discourse of knowledge. It is not for the closing or entrapment of mind, but the freeing of the chains that make us believe we are less. |
|
| |
The Imam Mahdi embodies the very covenant of this Constitution and as such each Imam Mahdi represents in themselves and their role an instrument of power- a living national embodiment of this constitution. |
|
| 55.6 |
Instantiation (creation) of Imam Mahdi |
|
| |
A person is not deemed the Imam Mahdi, nor holding the powers of Imam Mahdi until they have undergone the official ceremony of Supreme Instantiation of the Powers and Authority of Imam Mahdi. |
|
| |
This ceremony represents one of the most important and powerful official ceremonies of One Islam as it is through this ceremony that the authority of Allah, of One Islam and of the great prophets and saints is bestowed upon the new Imam Mahdi. |
|
| |
It is through the ceremony of Supreme Instantiation of the Powers and Authority of Imam Mahdi that the ceremonial and real spiritual powers of the Imam Mahdi are bestowed. |
|
| 55.7 |
Qualification of the Imam Mahdi |
|
| |
By the authority of this Constitution, only a person meeting all of the following criteria shall be permitted to stand for election to the office of Imam Mahdi: |
|
| |
(i) Currently holds the position of a (permanent) Caliph, or is an Ayatollah nominated by majority vote of a National Senate to stand as a candidate for office of Imam Mahdi; and |
|
| |
(ii) Is aged between 40 and 65 unless seeking a second or third term as Imam Mahdi; |
|
| |
A person who fails one or more of these qualifications shall be ineligible to stand for election to the office of Imam Mahdi. |

| 55.8 |
Oath of the Imam Mahdi |
|
| |
Prior to the commencement of their term of office, the Imam Mahdi shall make the following public oath- “--"In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. The Beneficent, the Merciful. Master of the Day of Judgment. Thee do we serve and Thee do we beseech for help. I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of Imam Mahdi of Islam and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of Islam.”

| 55.9 |
Term of the Imam Mahdi |
|
| |
The Imam Mahdi shall hold their Office during the Term of twelve (12) Years, and be elected by supreme election following the procedures for general and supreme elections contained within this constitution.
|
|
| |
The date of first election of the Imam Mahdi shall be on or before Islamic (Hijri) year 1 / 1 / 1432, or 1 MuHarram (Islamic new year) 1432, or Tuesday 7 December 2010 C.E. in Gregorian Calendar. |
|
| 55.10 |
Maximum term tenure of the Imam Mahdi |
|
| |
By this constitution a Imam Mahdi is ineligible to serve beyond a total of three terms (36) years. A Imam Mahdi having served Islam for greater than twenty four (24) years shall be known as a Grand Imam Mahdi.
|
|
| 55.11 |
Payment of the Imam Mahdi |
|
| |
The Imam Mahdi shall upon appointment, renounce all claims to property, all claims to mortal bonds, all claims to immediate family and commitments, all claims to obligation to anyone but to Islam and to the word of Allah. The Imam Mahdi shall not be paid for his service. His reward is far greater. To support the Imam Mahdi in his role, all services needed by him shall be paid for by the government of Islam.

| 55.12 |
Residence of the Imam Mahdi |
|
| |
By this constitution, a residence shall be build befitting the sacred office of The Imam Mahdi at a location of holy importance to One Islam, that is not Jerusalem. This shall be the permanent residence of the Imam Mahdi excluding Feast Years of the Great Spirit of Islam. |
|
| |
During Feast years of the Great Spirit of Islam, the Imam Mahdi shall be resident at one of the nominated and most holy of sacred sites for One Islam. Once every 12 years, the Imam Mahdi shall be resident in Jerusalem for one year during a feast year for the Great Spirit of Islam and all the saints. |
|
| |
Once a year, following the 40 days of sessions of the Supreme Council, the Imam Mahdi shall be ceremonially banished from their residence to a place of wilderness and reflection. During this 40 day period they shall have no home, no title, no executive actions nor official engagements. |
|
| 55.13 |
The Official Seal of The Imam Mahdi |
|
| |
In respect to the high office of the Imam Mahdi, by the power of this constitution an official seal shall be forged and it shall be known as the Official Seal of the Imam Mahdi. Each Imam Mahdi shall have their own unique official seal based on the common seal of office. All official acts of the Imam Mahdi shall require this Seal to be affixed as verification of its authenticity. |

The documents of the Imam Mahdi |
|
| |
Upon election to the office of The Imam Mahdi, it is the Imam Mahdis solemn duty to publish three documents to the faithful each and every year of their office. These documents shall be: |
|
| |
1. Annual Plan to the Faithful of Allah by the Imam Mahdi |
|
| |
The Imam Mahdi shall be required publish an annual plan (subject to the approval of the Supreme Board and Supreme Council) which shall state the financial, moral and well being position of the One Islam. The Annual Plan shall also outline the plans of the Imam Mahdi to help the people of Islam and how the contributions of the faithful are being used to better all members. It shall also talk about Islam and its place in the world and how the respect of Islam is being increased through acts of wisdom and compassion. |

2. Annual Message to the Faithful of Allah by the Imam Mahdi |
|
| |
The Imam Mahdi shall be required to publish an annual message to all the faithful in which he outlines his key message, guidance, inspiration and comfort to all the true followers of Islam. This message shall be his blessing as the official spokesperson for Allah and for all Islam on Earth. As such, the Annual Message shall always be treated as a blessed document. |
|

3. Annual Prayers to the Faithful of Allah by the Imam Mahdi |
|
| |
The Imam Mahdi shall be required to publish an annual book of prayers to all the faithful to assist them in their prayers to Allah and to those in Heaven. The prayers shall cover those areas of need in which the faithful might find comfort in reflective prayer. As such, the Annual Prayers shall always be treated as a blessed document. |
|

The writing of the documents |
|
| |
It shall be known by the blessed conjoining of this constitution and the constitution for One Heaven that the Imam Mahdi shall be task with writing the documents at the conclusion of the 40 days of session of the Supreme Council of Islam. |
|
| |
At that point, the Imam Mahdi shall be sent into the wilderness with just his most trusted protectors and the Great Spirit of Islam to guide him. Then by the word of Allah he shall for forty days contemplate and seek direct guidance from the Great Spirit and all the saints to prepare the most sacred of documents for the One Islam. |
|
| |
At the end of the forty days in the wilderness, the Imam Mahdi shall return with his first draft of documents . |
|
| 55.14 |
The Great Spirit of Islam |
|
| |
And by this constitution we recognize the most blessed of documents being the constitution of One Heaven. And by this most sacred of documents we recognize the election of the Great Spirit of Islam that is elected by both the faithful on Earth and the Faithful in Heaven as the Supreme Leader of the faithful of Heaven and Earth on behalf of the glory of Allah. |

That by this blessed of documents, the constitution of One Heaven we see heaven united, the respect and honor of Allah restored, the duty of Islam to protect the souls of all humanity and the blessing of the Great Spirit to guide the leadership of Islam. |
|
| 55.15 |
The Great Spirit and the Imam Mahdi of Islam |
|
| |
And by the conjoining of these two most blessed of documents, the One Heaven and the One Islam, we see that it is by the word of Allah himself that the Great Spirit shall guide and counsel the Imam Mahdi to help all the faithful here on Earth. |
|
| |
And so is shall always be known from this document and its conjoining to the constitution of One Heaven, that when the Imam Mahdi speaks, he does so with the authority and voice of the Great Spirit of Islam. And so in speaking as a voice of the Great Spirit of Islam, he is also speaking as a leader of heaven and earth. |
|
| |
And in such authority and sanctity of office shall represent the new covenant and all the faithful of Islam shall be blessed. |
|
| 55.16 |
The Supreme Board of Directors (Supreme Board) |
|
| |
In the good management of Islam, its affairs and requirements can be compared to the good conduct of a corporation with its citizens as shareholders.
|
|
| |
The Supreme Board of Directors shall be a board of individuals selected by the Imam Mahdi to head the permanent statutory authorities and uphold the laws regarding the critical systems of Islam. The tenure of a Director shall be at the sole discretion of the Imam Mahdi.
|
|
| |
Given the importance of each system within our society functioning to its optimum, the position of a Supreme Director should reflect the very best of the community with the knowledge, experience and respect relating to the system they manage.
|
|
| |
Because of the importance and honour of such positions, supreme directors shall also be collectively known as "the Blessed". |
|
| |
