Muslims believe the Qur'an is the revealed world of God through his archangel Gabriel to the whole world, to cease its evil practices and ignorance and to submit to God in a pure and simple way without distraction or idol worship.
The Qur'an addresses the full spectrum of issues of human life including (but not limited to) from life, death, the purpose of life, marriage and relationships, possessions, temptation, children and community.
At the same time, Muslims believe the Qur'an provides guidelines for a just society, proper human conduct and an equitable economic system.
There is a tradition concerning the Qur'an that it original meaning and intended message is intimately linked to Arabaic, a language that was created, codified and emerged virtually fully formed at the same time as the Qur'an.
In fact the Qur'an has always been considered the first historic work and most complete work of the Arabic language.
This is an incredibly important historic fact and an effort that would have required significant dedication of a number of highly educated people schooled in multiple languages of the ancient world in order to create an entirely new language. Unfortunately, the original library complex and scriptorium discovered in Medina that could best explain such a mammoth educated and academic effort was bulldozed by the authorities several decades ago.
In spite of such archeological and cultural vandalism, we can still stand in awe at the effort it must have taken to both create a brand new language and prepare the Qur'an into its form we read today.
Given the intimate relationship between the Qur'an and the meaning of words and creation of the Arabic language at exactly the same time, it is probably credible to believe that the best and most authentic interpretation of the Qur'an's original meaning is in Arabic.
